How can I kill and remove roaches from inside a dvd/vcr recorder/player without damaging it? - vinyl zip envelopes

It is a relatively new writer, had a commercial made for a rare plant, but did not know it was infested with cockroaches until this afternoon when I turned on the lights. Shake in a clear vinyl bag for the blanket to keep roaches from escaping into the rest of the house. At this point I'm not even sure that the recorder works, but I want to work if I get rid of parasites. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
